First look at Caroline, Or Change at Hampstead Theatre

Photos have been released for the Hampstead Theatre transfer of Michael Longhurst's production of Caroline, Or Change, which stars Sharon D Clarke in the titular role.

With book nd lyrics by Tony Kushner and music by Jeanine Tesori, the musical follows the life of housemaid Caroline, who builds a mystical world for herself and her appliances. The show comes to Hampstead after first running in Chichester last year, where critic Matt Trueman described it as "a giddy staging that's kept grounded by Clarke and her deep, earthy voice. The scenario might be small. The show is anything but."

Caroline, Or Change runs at Hampstead Theatre until 21 April.
