WhatsOnStage and Olivier Award winner Derren Brown is no stranger to the West End stage, with ten previous London shows already under his belt.

Now, the acclaimed psychological illusionist brings his latest offering Only Human to the Apollo Theatre, following an extensive tour of the UK and Ireland. Co-written with Andrew O’Connor and Stephen Long, and directed by O’Connor, the production explores what it means to be human – our perceptions, our beliefs, and the choices we make.

We sat down with Brown ahead of his West End return to delve deeper into how the shows are assembled, how they differ from predecessors, and we were curious to find out about his most bizarre onstage experience to date.

You can watch all the highlights below:

Only Human features set design by Simon Higlett, video design by Simon Wainwright, lighting design by Charlie Morgan Jones, and sound design by Beth Duke.

It is presented by arrangement with Vaudeville Productions, Michael Vine, Andrew O’Connor, Paul Sandler and Derren Brown for Only Human Productions Ltd. General management is by John Dalston, the executive producer for the production.

Only Human runs at the Apollo Theatre from 10 October 2026 to 30 January 2027, with tickets on sale now.
