Further casting has been announced for The Boys in the Band, the revival of Mart Crowley's play.

Daniel Boys (Avenue Q) will star as Donald, Jack Derges (EastEnders) will play Cowboy, James Holmes (Miranda) will star as Emory, John Hopkins (Midsomer Murders) will play Alan, Ben Mansfield (Primeval) will play Larry and Nathan Nolan (Undercover) will star as Hank.

Further casting will be announced soon.

The new cast will join Mark Gatiss and his husband Ian Hallard in the production, which is directed by Adam Penford. The piece is set in a New York apartment where a birthday party takes place and a surprise birthday gift – in the shape of a male hustler, arrives. The piece premiered in 1968 in New York and was adapted into a film of the same name in 1970.

The Boys in the Band runs at the Park Theatre from 4 to 30 October, with previews from 28 September. The show then tours to The Lowry on 3 November, Theatre Royal, Brighton on 8 November and West Yorkshire Playhouse on 14 November.
