Elizabeth Debicki to lead RSC’s Richard II

The award-winning actress will star in the revival

Emmy and Golden Globe winner Elizabeth Debicki will make her Royal Shakespeare Company debut as Richard II.

It marks the first time that the company has staged the piece with a woman in the role.

Daniel Raggett will direct the history play, which will run from 10 April to 22 May in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. A press night is set for 20 April.

The creative team also includes set designer Leslie Travers and dramaturg Rebecca Latham.
