Haig will join the ”Harry Potter” star in ”Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead”
David Haig will appear in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead at The Old Vic in March.
Haig has most recently appeared in Blue/Orange (Old Vic), Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me (Chichester Festival Theatre) and Guys & Dolls (Savoy) for which he earned a Best Actor in a Musical Olivier Award nomination.
He joins the previously announced Daniel Radcliffe and Joshua McGuire in Tom Stoppard's play about the two minor characters from Shakespeare's Hamlet. Haig will take on the role of The Player.
The cast also includes Louisa Beadel (a Player), William Chubb (Polonius), Luke Mullins (Hamlet), Marianne Oldham (Gertrude), and Helena Wilson (Ophelia). Further casting is to be announced.
David Leveaux directs the production which is revived 50 years after its premiere at The Old Vic.
Anna Fleischle will design the production with lighting by Howard Harrison, sound by Fergus O’Hare and composition by Corin Buckeridge.
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead runs at The Old Vic from 7 March, with previews from 25 February.
