Tom Wells’ coming-of-age comedy gets its world premiere in Newcastle next month
Full casting for the world premiere of coming-of-age comedy Broken Biscuits has been announced.
Faye Christall will play Megan, a teenager who plans a long summer holiday with her friends Holly (Grace Hogg-Robinson) and Ben (Andrew Reed) who start a band as a way to reinvent themselves and become cool.
Christall trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, and has previously performed in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest at the Edinburgh Fringe. Broken Biscuits will be Hogg-Robinson's stage debut following appearances in The Coroner and Casualty. Reed's previous credits include The Fifteen Streets and Drama Baby at Customs House South Shields.
Playwright Tom Wells (Folk, UK tour) said: "We've been really lucky to cast three soulful young actors with funny bones as Megan, Holly and Ben."
The play opens at Live Theatre in Newcastle on 11 October before touring to Plymouth, Hull, Scarborough, Sheffield, Bristol and Birmingham.
