The one-off event takes please on 28 April in aid of Centrepoint
A cast of West End regulars will star in Rags The Musical, which plays for one night only at the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue later this month in aid of the homeless charity Centrepoint.
Rags opened on Broadway in 1986, receiving Tony Award nominations including Best Musical. With music written by Charles Strouse (Annie), lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked), and a book by Joseph Stein (Fiddler on the Roof), this marks the first time the show has played the West End.
The cast will feature Caroline Sheen (Rebecca), Tim Rogers (Saul), Matt Zimmerman (Avram), Leila Benn Harris (Bella), James Yeoburn (Ben), Jenny Logan (Rachel), Sebastian Croft (David) and Graham MacDuff (Nathan).
The ensemble includes Amelia Adams-Pearce, Ben Stock, Marc Joseph and Danny Whitehead.
Telling the tale of a group of Jewish immigrants as they arrive to start a new life in America, Rags features the songs "Children of the Wind", "Wanting" and "Penny A Tune".
The concert on 28 April 2014 is produced by Aria Entertainment and Knockhardy Productions, whose previous West End charity concerts include Children of Eden and Cinderella Boom or Bust at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.
