The hit musical has announced the cast for its UK and international tour
Long-running musical Wicked has announced the cast of its UK and international tour.
Jacqueline Hughes will take the role of Elphaba alongside Carly Anderson as Glinda and Bradley Jaden as Fiyero. Hughes has played Elphaba in the UK and Ireland Tour of Wicked and can currently be seen in the UK tour of Mary Poppins. Anderson recently appeared in Sunset Boulevard (London Coliseum) and Jaden is currently starring as Enjolras in Les Misérables (Queen's Theatre).
Steven Pinder (Brookside) will play The Wizard and Doctor Dillamond, Kim Ismay (Mamma Mia!) will play Madame Morrible, Iddon Jones will play Boq and Emily Shaw (Matilda) will play Nessarose.
The cast will be completed by Jodie Steele, Kyle Anthony, Joe Atkinson, Sam Brown, Hannah Cadec, Joel Cooper, Nicholas Corre, James Davies-Williams, Natasha Ferguson, Elizabeth Futter, Zoe George, Amy Goodwin, Alex Jordan-Mills, Stuart MacIver, Tom Mather, Stacey McGuire, Sara Morley, Emily Olive Boyd, Wendy-Lee Purdy, Dean Read, Paul Saunders, Elisha Sherman, Joshua St Clair and Hannah Veerapen.
The award-winning London production is now in its 10th anniversary year and is currently the ninth longest running show in the West End. The musical recently extended its booking period until 29 April 2017.
The UK and international tour of Wicked will open at the Alhambra Theatre, Bradford on 20 July 2016, the only UK city to host the musical. The show will then travel to Singapore, where it opens on 29 September. Wicked will then continue touring internationally until January 2018.
