Stephens’ monologue is revived in a special run at the Old Vic
Andrew Scott kicked off his run at the Old Vic in Simon Stephens' Sea Wall with a special guest night at the south London venue.
Guests present at the event included Tom Burke, Natalie Dew and Hannah James Scott, who all celebrated the return of the 30-minute monologue which comes to the theatre for two weeks.
In her blog, Sarah Crompton praised Scott and said the actor delivered "a performance of blistering intelligence and wonderful emotional reach."
The piece was originally performed by Scott a decade ago at the Bush Theatre, directed by George Perrin. The show marks Scott's return to the stage since his performance in Hamlet at both the Almeida and in the West End.
