A special moment for the hit musical

The original revival cast of hit musical Falsettos will reunite for the show’s tenth anniversary in both London and New York.
The company will host additional performances in New York and London following the selling out of the first two Carnegie Hall concerts.
Stephanie J Block, Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells, Tracie Thoms, Brandon Uranowitz and Betsy Wolfe will perform at the London Palladium on 23 and 24 February 2027. The London performances will follow a third New York concert at Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall on 8 February 2027 at 7pm.
The tenth anniversary concerts will celebrate the work of William Finn and James Lapine, who wrote the music and lyrics and book respectively.
The first two Carnegie Hall performances, on 18 October and 2 November 2026, sold out, with the original 18 October performance selling out in less than two hours.
Ellenore Scott, who served as assistant choreographer on the 2016 revival of Falsettos, will direct the additional performances. Vadim Feichtner is music director and conductor, leading a band that includes most of the original revival musicians.
The concerts are presented by Wolfe, Colleen Cook and Cynthia Rose for Table for Three Productions in New York City and London, in association with Darren Bell Productions and Qube Theatricals for the London engagement. A portion of the proceeds from the February New York concert will benefit the TDF Wendy Wasserstein Project.
Wolfe said: “Falsettos found all of us at such a pivotal moment, and we’ve had the extraordinary privilege of watching one another grow, as artists and as friends in the decade since. I always believed there was more life in this piece and hoped we might one day return to it together, but to see one night at Carnegie Hall so quickly grow into three performances and take us to The London Palladium has been extraordinary. That this company trusted me to bring us back together onstage means more than I can say. Ten years later, it turns out there’s still more of this story for us to tell.”
Originally produced as Falsettoland in 1990, Falsettos tells the story of Marvin, his lover Whizzer, his wife Trina and their extended family from the early 1980s through the beginning of the AIDS crisis.
The 2016 revival opened at the Walter Kerr Theatre on 27 October 2016 and received five Tony Award nominations, including Best Revival. The production was also filmed for PBS’s Live from Lincoln Center series.
