John Logan’s award-winning play makes its West End premiere, nine years after its world premiere at the Donmar Warehouse
Sherlock stars Martin Freeman, Andrew Scott and Una Stubbs were among the guests at last night's West End premiere of John Logan's Red.
Directed by Michael Grandage, the play concerns an imagined relationship between the painter Mark Rothko (played by Alfred Molina) and his assistant Ken (Alfred Enoch).
Red originally opened at the Donmar Warehouse in 2009 starring Molina alongside Eddie Redmayne, it went on to receive multiple Tony Awards for its Broadway transfer.
Other guests at the Wyndham's for opening night included Eva Green, Savannah Stevenson, Giovanna Fletcher, Richard E Grant and Aidan Turner.
