Joe Lycett and Olivia Cooke are among the latest performers announced for White Rabbit Red Rabbit as the play extends its 15th anniversary run at the Duchess Theatre.

Lycett will perform on 2 November, with Cooke appearing on 23 November. The weekly Monday performances will now continue through to 14 December. The line-up also includes Riz Ahmed on 12 October, Nish Kumar on 19 October and John Bradley on 26 October.

Written by Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour, White Rabbit Red Rabbit sees a different performer take to the stage each night and receive a sealed envelope containing a script they have never seen before. The performer presents the play without rehearsal or a director.

First performed in 2011, the play was written while Soleimanpour was forbidden from leaving Iran. It explores themes including obedience, choice and freedom of expression.

The production has been performed more than 4,000 times and translated into more than 25 languages. Previous performers include Whoopi Goldberg, Cynthia Nixon, Michael Sheen, Ken Loach, Lenny Henry, Daisy Edgar-Jones and David Harewood.

White Rabbit Red Rabbit is the inaugural production from There & Then and presented in association with Nica Burns, the theatre company founded by Soleimanpour and director Omar Elerian. The company builds on their decade-long collaboration on cold-read productions including Echo and Nassim.

White Rabbit Red Rabbit runs at the Duchess Theatre, London, with performances on Mondays through 14 December. Tickets are priced from £25.
