Musical comedy Altar Boyz will get its UK premiere at the Greenwich Theatre in October this year.

The show will have a limited run of 14 performances, and it comes from New York where it ran Off-Broadway for five years.

Altar Boyz centres around a fictitious boy-band – whose members include Matthew, Mark, Luke, Juan and Abraham – on the last night of their Raise the Praise tour.

The show is directed by Steven Dexter, whose credits include Loserville (West End) and Honk! (Watermill Theatre).

Casting is to be announced for the production, which runs from 3 to 18 October 2014.
