Adam Garcia to star in UK premiere of The Exorcist

A new production of The Exorcist, directed by Sean Mathias, will receive its UK premiere at Birmingham Repertory Theatre in October.

The cast features Adam Garcia as Damien, Jenny Seagrove (How the Other Half Loves) as Chris and Peter Bowles (Hay Fever) as Father Merrin.

They are joined by Clare Louise Connolly as Regan, Todd Boyce as Doctor Strong, Mitchell Mullen as Doctor Klein, Joseph Wilkins as Father Joe and Tristram Wymark as Burke.

Based on the Oscar-winning 1973 film, this new stage production sees desperate mother Chris turn to a local priest for help.

Anna Fleischle (Hangmen) designs, with lighting designer by Tim Mitchell, composition and sound design by Adam Cork, video and projection design by Duncan McLean and illusions by Ben Hart.

The Exorcist runs at Birmingham Repertory Theatre from 21 October to 5 November.
