A new production of 9 to 5 the Musical has added extra dates to its tour.
Based on the 1980 film of the same name, 9 to 5 the Musical features music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and tells the story of three office workers who decide to take revenge on their overbearing boss.
The show is set to open at Peterborough New Theatre on 4 July and continue on the road through to September.
Marking producer Landmark Theatres’ first in-house production to tour nationally, the musical is directed by Paul Jepson, with musical supervision by Mark Crossland and set and costume design by Amanda Stoodley.
Jepson, who is also CEO and creative director at Landmark Theatres, explained that it is their biggest tour to date, before adding: “It reflects our ambition to create bold, popular musical theatre at scale, with exceptional acting, reaching audiences far beyond our own venues. We can’t wait to share this joyful, empowering production with communities across the country and continue building vibrant, inclusive theatre that truly connects.”
9 to 5 the Musical runs at Peterborough New Theatre from 4 to 11 July 2026, before touring to Barnstaple (14 to 18 July), Blackpool (21 to 25 July), Guildford (27 July to 1 August) and Darlington (4 to 8 August). New dates include Bridlington Spa from 11 to 15 August, Ipswich Regent Theatre (18 to 22 August), Worthing Pavilion Theatre (25 to 29 August), Coventry’s Belgrade Theatre (1 to 5 September), and White Rock Theatre, Hastings (8 to 13 September).
Tickets for the new dates go on sale on 6 February.
