Ayckbourn’s play centres on Joe, the father of Julia – who was a musical prodigy and died aged 19. Twelve years have passed and Joe has never stopped
asking why. Did she really take her own life? Or was someone else with
her on that fateful night? Strange sounds and signs have begun to haunt
the shrine Joe has built to his lost daughter. He wants an answer.
Cast members Duncan Preston, Richard O’Callaghan and Joe McFadden were joined by director Andrew Hall and producers Paul Tyrer, Tracey Childs and Jamie Clark, as well as Ayckbourn.
Also in attendance at the gala performance were actors Imelda Staunton, Jim Broadbent, Matthew Kelly, Peter Davison and Jim Carter.
