Birmingham Royal Ballet return to Salford with The Sleeping Beauty
Fairytale ballet The Sleeping Beauty will once again be enchanting audiences at The Lowry at the end of the month.
Performed by a cast of over 80, the Birmingham Royal Ballet piece tells the captivating tale of Princess Aurora, the wicked curse, and the handsome prince that wakes her after 100 years in a deep sleep.
Philip Prowse, the designer responsible for the company's Swan Lake, provides the designs for sumptuous baroque style sets and over 150 beautiful hand-sewn costumes.
The title role is taken on by Lancastrian Yvette Knight, who is supported by an array of North West talent, including The Wirral's James Barton as a soloist and Stoke-On-Trent's Karla Doorbar as The Fairy of Song.
The Sleeping Beauty will be performed at The Lowry between 25-28 September.
