A Star Is Born, sing-a-long Mary Poppins Returns screenings feature in Regent's Park Open Air Theatre line-up

The one-off special events accompany the venue’s theatre programme

Special events have been announced for Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's 2019 season.

Accompany the venue's stage productions will be a variety of one-off events including cinema screenings, live performances and stand-up sets.

On Sunday 25 August there will be a sing-a-long screening of Mary Poppins Returns at the venue. The hit sequel to Mary Poppins stars Emily Blunt and Lin-Manuel Miranda and premiered last December. Reduced price tickets will be available for the under 16s.

The Oscar winning 2018 film A Star Is Born will be screened on 1 September, featuring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, while on 8 September the iconic Monty Python's Life of Brian will be screened, marking the film's 40th anniversary.

Comedians and artists included in the special events line-up will be Adam Kay (on 2 June), Shappi Khorsandi (on 15 September) and singer-songwriter Nick Mulvey (on 18 August). Improv troupe Comedy Store Players will also appear for one night on 14 July.
