Glenn Close in Sunset Boulevard movie filming this year

The star spoke to ”Variety” at the Golden Globes this year and confirmed they are hoping to start filming this year

Glenn Close has spoken about filming for the upcoming movie remake of Sunset Boulevard.

Talking to Variety at the Golden Globes, she said shooting for the film was due to begin this year.

She said: "We plan to start shooting this year sometime… [Norma Desmond] is infinite, I've had such a journey with her… In some ways the second time I did it I was rehearsing for the movie."

When asked whether there will be a new song, she replied: "I don't know. That will depend on screen time, I think. I know Andrew [Lloyd Webber] will be there in the trenches probably doing new orchestrations and certainly he'll write the score, but I can't say that yet."

According to Close, the new movie version of Sunset Boulevard is due out in 2020.
