Fun Home at the Young Vic: first look

Photos have been released offering a first look at Fun Home, which has its UK premiere this week at the Young Vic in London.
The show, which is based on the graphic novel by Alison Bechdel has music from Jeanine Tesori and a book and lyrics from Lisa Kron. The musical won five Tony Awards in 2015 including for Best Musical and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
The cast features Jenna Russell as Helen, Kaisa Hammarlund as Alison, Eleanor Kane as Medium Alison, Ashley Samuels as Roy, Mark and Jeremy, Cherrelle Skeete as Joan and Zubin Varla as Bruce, Alison's father.
The piece explores memories of Alison's family at three different stages of her life and is directed by Sam Gold, with choreography by Danny Mefford, set and costume by David Zinn, lighting by Ben Stanton, sound by Kai Harada, orchestrations by John Clancy, musical supervision by Chris Fenwick and musical direction by Nigel Lilley.
