Horowitz’s comedy starring Steven Berkoff and Sanjeev Bhaskar opened at the Menier Chocolate Factory last night

Anthony Horowitz's new play Dinner with Saddam premiered at the Menier Chocolate Factory last night, with the author himself among the opening night guests.

Directed by Lindsay Posner, the cast features Steven Berkoff as Hussein, alongside Sanjeev Bhaskar, Nathan Amzi, Ilan Goodman and Rebecca Grant.

According to press material:

"So what happens when Saddam Hussein turns up on your doorstep and announces he is staying for dinner? Political and personal issues are top of the menu, but behind the kitchen door something else far more sinister is cooking…"

Dinner with Saddam runs at the Menier Chocolate Factory until 14 November
