The Wardrobe Ensemble's award-winning Education, Education, Education will transfer to the West End in May.

Running in Trafalgar Studios 1 from 31 May to 29 June, the piece is set in a run-down 1997 secondary school that slowly slides into chaos.

Directed by Jesse Jones and Helena Middleton, the play will star Tom Brennan (Paul McIntyre), Ben Vardy (Tim Pashley), Jesse Meadows (Susan Belltop-Doyle), Emily Greenslade (Emily Greenslade), James Newton (Tobias) and Tom England (Hugh Mills), with further casting to be announced.

Co-produced by The Wardrobe Ensemble, Royal and Derngate and Shoreditch Town Hall, the production first premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2017 where it won a Scotsman Fringe First Award.

The play received a four-star review from WhatsOnStage when it was first performed, being described as "a state of the nation play spliced with the Beano".

The Wardrobe Ensemble's previous work includes The Star Seekers, which recently ran at the National Theatre, and later this year Jones and Middleton will work on a musical adaptation of Pippi Longstocking.
