Veteran pantomime dame Clive Rowe is to return to Hackney Empire this year to star in the venue's Christmas offering.

Susie McKenna directs the production of Aladdin with Steven Edis composing, which marks their 20th show together.

Last year, Rowe starred in Wimbledon's pantomime alongside Al Murray in Jack and the Beanstalk and will be making his return to Hackney's pantomime following his last appearance there in 2015.

Rowe is a regular dame and has played successive years at Hackney Empire as well as starring in productions across London and beyond in shows such as Guys and Dolls, The Light Princess, Caroline or Change (National Theatre) and Kiss Me Kate at Chichester Festival Theatre.

Hackney Empire's pantomime is traditionally one of the best in London. The show runs from 24 November 2018 to 6 January 2019.
