Al Murray to make panto debut in Jack and the Beanstalk

Al Murray will make his panto debut this Christmas in Jack and the Beanstalk at New Wimbledon Theatre.

Best known as 'The Pub Landlord', Murray will play Idle Al who helps his brother Jack Trot climb the beanstalk and outwith the giant at the top.

He will be joined by panto dame Clive Rowe will play Jack's mother. Rowe has previously appeared in Carousel at the National Theatre and Guys and Dolls, for which he won an Olivier Award. He was also nominated for an Olivier Award his role in the panto Mother Goose in 2008.

Produced by Qdos Entertainment, the production will see the story of Jack and the Beanstalk return to the New Wimbledon for the first time in over 15 years.

The panto runs from 9 December to 14 January.
