Heathers the Musical star Carrie Hope Fletcher will perform at the 19th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards Concert in March 2019.

Fletcher, who has been nominated for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance as Veronica Sawyer in Heathers, will sing solo number "I Say No" from the show, which had its UK premiere at The Other Palace in June 2018 before transferring to the West End in September. The production has been nominated for a total of six WhatsOnStage Awards, including Best New Musical and Best Direction.

"I Say No" was added to the show just before it transferred to the West End, and is not included on the musical's original 2014 cast recording.

Paul Taylor Mills, producer of Heathers said: "I'm over the moon that Carrie will be performing "I Say No" at the 19th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards Concert. This song was added by the creative team when we moved our record-breaking production to the beautiful Theatre Royal Haymarket and therefore has never been performed outside of the musical.

"It's a real honour for us to be nominated and perform at the WhatsOnStage Awards Concert. Heathers was a musical that was supported so passionately by its audience so there's a special synergy for us to be performing at an awards ceremony defined so much by theatre fans. "

Earlier this year Fletcher won the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for her role as Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family, and also won the award for Best Takeover in a Role in 2014 when she starred as Eponine in Les Misérables.

The Concert, during which the winners of the 19th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards will be announced, takes place on 3 March 2019 at the Prince of Wales Theatre. Tickets for the Concert are on sale now.

Further performances are yet to be announced.
