Touring theatre company Up In Arms will collaborate with Pleasance Theatre and Ellie Keel to present new play In Lipstick in January.

Penned by Annie Jenkins (who was shortlisted for the Old Vic 12 in 2017 and has credits including A Tinder Trilogy and Lunch In My Car), the piece explores power and powerlessness among young people by focussing on two characters, Cynthia and Maud. Maud's life begins to change after a run-in with a security guard, Dennis.

The show is directed by Alice Hamilton, co-artistic director of Up in Arms theatre company, whose credits include The March on Russia and Thirty Christmases. Keel's previous productions include Mrs Dalloway for Forward Arena, and acts as a producer for Oxford's North Wall theatre.

The show runs from 9 to 26 January, with cast and creatives to be announced.
