Take a look inside the rehearsal room for the upcoming concert production of Love Never Dies at The London Palladium.

The piece is the sequel to The Phantom of the Opera and is set a decade after the Phantom’s disappearance from Paris. Now living in New York, he lures Christine, her husband and their son Gustave to America in an attempt to win her back, as past events resurface.

Jamie Muscato and Celinde Schoenmaker will lead the return of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Glenn Slater, Ben Elton, and Frederick Forsyth’s show this autumn as the Phantom and Christine. Joining them are George Blagden as Raoul, Courtney Stapleton as Meg, and Mazz Murray as Giry.

Also in the show are Holly James (Moulin Rouge!) as Fleck, Nic Greenshields (Les Misérables) as Squelch and Charles Brunton (Matilda The Musical) as Gangle.

The cast is completed by Leslie Garcia Bowman, Georgia Joan Clements, Sally Frith, Christian Knight, Louis Mackrodt, Ciara Jackson, DeAngelo Jones and Lily Wang. Elliott Norrington plays Gustave with George Jones as standby Gustave

The production, directed by Shaun Kerrison, will run from 16 to 18 October. It is produced by Darren Bell alongside Cuffe & Taylor for Live Nation, and follows its previous WhatsonStage Award-winning concert staging at Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

The concert will be directed by Shaun Kerrison with choreography by Joanna Goodwin, set and costume design by Rebecca Brower, lighting design by Tim Deiling, sound design by Paul Gatehouse, music supervision by Simon Lee, casting by Sarah Jane Price Casting, costume supervision by Jennie Quirk, props supervision by Katie Balmforth, associate sound design by Charlie Smith, orchestra management by Nicola Rossiter, production management by Pete Kramer and general management by Sam Quested for QUBE Theatricals.

The company is completed by Peter Barnett (company stage manager), Leea Smith (deputy stage manager), Ben Turnball and Paige Holmes (assistant stage managers), Rachel Perry (head of wardrobe) and Annie Linfett (wardrobe assistant).

The concert forms part of the 40th anniversary celebrations for The Phantom of the Opera, which continues to run in the West End at His Majesty’s Theatre.

More plans will be revealed in due course. Since opening in 1986, the musical has been seen by more than 160 million people worldwide.
