Adrian Edmondson and Nigel Planer are to star in their own new stage comedy, Vulcan 7.

The piece tells of former drama students Gary Savage and Hugh Delavois, both in their 60s, who are reunited on an Icelandic wasteland on the set of a fantasy movie. Lois Chimimba also stars as film runner Leela.

Edmondson and Planer have worked together in the past on TV sitcoms including The Comic Strip Presents… and The Young Ones, and have starred together in Filthy, Rich and Catflap.

Vulcan 7 is produced by Jonathan Church Productions and Theatre Royal Bath Productions in association with Yvonne Arnaud Theatre and will be directed by Steve Marmion. The show will tour to Cambridge, Newcastle, Bath, Richmond, Malvern and Edinburgh.
