The Royal Shakespeare Company’s production is directed by Christopher Luscombe
Images have been released of the RSC's upcoming production of Twelfth Night starring Adrian Edmondson and Kara Tointon.
The show opens in Stratford-upon-Avon on 2 November and runs until 24 February 2018. Shakespeare's comedy features twins who are shipwrecked and separated in a strange land. One of the twins, Viola, pretends to be a man and falls in love with count Orsino, while Olivia falls for Viola. When the second twin Sebastian turns up, there's much confusion.
Tointon plays Olivia, while Edmondson will take the role of Malvolio. Christopher Luscombe directs the cast which also includes Dinita Gohil (Viola), John Hodgkinson (Sir Toby Belch), Vivien Parry (Maria), Esh Alladi (Sebastian), Nicholas Bishop (Orsino), Michael Cochrane (Sir Andrew Aguecheek), Beruce Khan (Feste), Verity Kirk (Parlour Maid), Joseph Prowen (Footman) and Sarah Twomey (Fabia).
Twelfth Night runs at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre from 9 November 2017 to 24 February 2018, with preview from 2 November.
