Sharon D Clarke won the Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical for Caroline, Or Change (Chichester Festival Theatre/Hampstead Theatre/Playhouse Theatre), and appeared in Death of a Salesman at the Young Vic, in the West End and on Broadway.

Her other theatre credits include Ma Rainey’s Black BottomThe Amen Corner – for which she won an Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress (National Theatre), Ghost The Musical (Piccadilly Theatre), The Life (Southwark Playhouse), Porgy and Bess (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre), Hairspray (Shaftesbury Theatre), We Will Rock You (Dominion Theatre) and Blues in the Night at Kiln Theatre.

Her television credits include as series regular Lola Griffin in Holby CityDoctor WhoInformer and Flowers; and for film, TauThe Darkest UniverseSugarhouseSecret Society and Beautiful People.
