Jonathan Bailey is a critically acclaimed actor across film, television, and theatre.
Born on April 25, 1988, Bailey’s theatre credits include A Christmas Carol at the Barbican for the Royal Shakespeare Company; Les Misérables at the Palace Theatre; Girl With a Pearl Earring at the Theatre Royal Haymarket; South Downs at Chichester Festival Theatre and Harold Pinter Theatre; the world premiere of American Psycho at the Almeida Theatre; Nicholas Hytner’s production of Othello at the National Theatre; The Last Five Years at The Other Palace alongside Samantha Barks, Certain Young Men at the National Theatre; The York Realist at the Donmar Warehouse; and King Lear at Chichester Festival Theatre. He won the Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical for Company. Bailey returned to the West End in 2022, starring in a revival of Mike Bartlett’s Cock at the Ambassadors Theatre.
On television, Bailey is best known for playing Lord Anthony Bridgerton in the record-breaking Netflix series Bridgerton and recently he appeared in the Golden Globe nominated series Fellow Travelers, for which he earned a Critics Choice Award. Bailey plays Fiyero in Universal’s Wicked, and roles also include the Jurassic World, leading the film alongside Scarlett Johansson.
