Dalton Harris (born 29 December 1993) is a singer and performer and winner of The X Factor in 2018. He previously won Jamaica’s Digicel Rising Stars in 2010 at age 16, becoming the youngest winner of the televised national song contest, and was signed to VP Records and Penthouse Records. He later signed to Syco following his X Factor win before going independent.
Harris worked as a showband singer and lead performer on Carnival Cruise Lines and has written and produced material for other artists, as well as his own releases. His X Factor winner’s single, a duet of “The Power of Love” with James Arthur, reached number one on the UK Big Top 40 chart. His debut UK single “Cry” has accumulated over one million streams.
He has worked with Lil Eddie, Nile Rodgers, Arrow Benjamin and Three Bears Productions, and appeared in the musical film Closer Than Ever. He has also performed the title role in Jack and the Beanstalk and appeared in The Drifters GirlUK tour in multiple roles.
Across YouTube and Spotify, Harris has amassed over 10 million streams and has more than 150,000 Instagram followers. His documentary about his life and career has screened internationally, secured a BBC distribution deal, received a national production grant, sold out premieres in Australia and London, and was selected for the Dutch Global Impact programme.
