Taking inspiration from Nikolai Gogol’s 19th Century satirical comedy, this modern adaptation opens the famous black door of number ten Downing Street for a tale of greed, a tale of power and a whole lot of musical madness. News has reached the Prime Minister that he and his Government are to be investigated by a royally appointed ‘Government Inspector’. Can the cabinet members cover their tracks? Can the Prime Minister charm and deflect? And just how much will it take to bribe their way out of this predicament?
