About the Show
The production, which is an exploration of Europe through the literature and political speeches that has defined its history, will open with Michael Morpurgo reading Phoenix of Peace a new text by the author which has been specially commissioned for the Manchester performance. In a year when a deeply divided Britain is set to leave the European Union, this production uses video footage and the words of artists, thinkers and political leaders
