Mother Tree

Mother Tree is a unique solo show about motherhood and nature. A highly physical piece combining theatre, aerial silk and spoken word about the eco-system created behind closed doors and what the forest can teach us about ourselves. It’s about women and the struggles, guilt, and maternal mental health patterns that motherhood comes with alongside its hilarious and fantastical moments. Relishing the beautiful responsibilities of parenthood whilst laughing at the ridiculous, Mother Tree discovers how we are just like the oldest hub trees, suckling the young, sustaining those in need and creating a village. The piece finds connection between the amazing cooperation, memory, healing and wisdom of the Mother Trees and our own incredible journey through motherhood.
