Goodnight, Mr Tom

Michelle Magorian‘s novel was adapted for TV with John Thaw as a grumpy old man forced to take in a ‘townie’ boy evacuee, and it was hailed as one of the best television plays of all time. With music and additional lyrics by Gary Carpenter, Ms Magorian has now created a stage musical – every bit as wonderful as the other versions.
