About the Show
Love from Carmen is set in a not-so-distant future where Carmen, a rebel at her core and a refugee by circumstance, takes centre stage every evening in the Refugee Camp Circus. Guided by Don Jose, a guard in the occupying army, Carmen and her circus companions become the ideal distraction, preventing rebellion. However, the question remains, can she escape Don Jose’s control and guide her fellow camp residents to freedom?
