Janet Jackson

About the Show

Janet Jackson launched her music career in the late 1970s when she joined The Jacksons with her older siblings. In 1982, Janet stepped outside The Jacksons shadow with her debut self-titled album, released through A&M Records. Three more albums followed with A&M: 1984’s Dream Street, her first multi-platinum certified album Control in 1986, and 1989’s Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814, which established Janet Jackson as a top-selling international artist.
