Gavin Webster – Geordie Binman

About the Show

Hero of the north-east comedy circuit Webster admits that, “Being from the famous Webster family (the people who make the dictionaries), I’ve never been short of money so I didn’t really need to get into this, but I had to or my grandfather was going to cut my allowance.

As a performer he has influenced many a comic in the North of England and Scotland in the last 20-years and has harvested many memorable jokes and routines yet is regarded as a generic filth merchant by scores of critics. He was once described as a ‘Geordie bin man’ by a broadsheet reviewer during an Edinburgh fringe run so he has decided to play up to this in his latest show. Sardonic ukulele songs, dark observations, quick fire jokes, rhythmic routines with crash bang wallop punchlines and moronic set pieces has kept him on the top end of the comedy circuit for 27-years and it shows no sign of letting up as he lets fly with new hour.
