In Ben Jonson’s final, unfinished work, Robin Hood arranges a feast for the shepherds and shepherdesses of the Vale of Belvoir. Among the guests in Sherwood Forest is Eglamour whose beloved, Earine, is reported to have drowned in the river Trent. But when suspicions are raised about the appearance of a witch, it seems there might be more to the disappearance of Earine than first appears.
