Parma Violets

Through the relationship between two teenage girls, Sian and Helen, Parma Violets explores a passing moment in time when two worlds collide. Coming from completely different backgrounds, one from a Traveller community and the other from a Christian upbringing, the central characters allow the show to interrogate societal assumptions, particularly those of the Gypsy and Traveller community. Parma Violets gives a voice to those who often are denied one. It is a story of curiosity, love and queerness. Of coming together and falling apart.
