About the Show
An Audience with Edith Piaf tells Piaf’s life: her contortionist father, her abandoning mother, her upbringing in a brothel, insatiable sexual appetites and destructive addictions. Piaf’s life was traumatic and she sang songs of tragedy, but she loved to laugh. This show tries not to lose sight of the laughter.
