Miss Hope Springs Sunday Soiree

About the Show

Comedy cabaret chanteuse Miss Hope Springs (the ex Vegas showgirl alter-ego of award winning cabaret star, singer-songwriter, pianist and entertainer Mr. Ty Jeffries) is currently packing them in and bringing the house down every Sunday at the Crazy Coqs Cabaret. Ty, who’s late father was the British screen legend Lionel Jeffries reveals, “My godmother was the celebrated Parisian nightclub doyenne Ada ?Bricktop’ Smith. She was a contemporary of Josephine Baker and held court at the celebrated ?Chez Bricktop’ nightclub in Paris where she entertained Jean Cocteau, Picasso and Gertrude Stein amongst other glittering stars of the early 20th Century. I can only imagine she will be smiling on me, her godson as I embark, kitten heeled, in her footsteps. Crazy Coqs Cabaret is the most fabulous newly restored listed original Art Deco cabaret room and serves the best cocktails in town. but you won’t have to catch the Eurostar to get there, simply head to the fabulous and palatial Brasserie Zedel in Piccadilly Circus. The entire venue is the glittering embodiment of top restaurateurs Jeremy King and Chris Corbin’s concept ?Sophisticamp’. Creating an atmosphere redolent of they heyday of Regine’s at The Roof Gardens and Madame Jo Jo’s back in the 80s Crazy Coqs Cabaret on Sunday evenings is the grown up, elegant place to see… and be seen, with fans such as Bruce Oldfield, Nicky Haslam and Zandra Rhodes all recently entertained by Miss Hope as she sings and plays her sparkling original songs live at the piano accompanied by double bass and percussion. Between her sets, and later into the night, celebrity DJ Martin Green spins a unique live soundtrack of fabulous vintage lounge, 60’s latin, early Motown and other sexy tracks There will be guest artists from comedy to magic, last week it was Igor Outkine the brilliant comedy accordionist from Russia. It’s an early evening of Sunday entertainment… the perfect way to relax after your Sunday Lunch in Brasserie Zedel and the ideal antidote to the Olympics and the vagaries of the great British summer.”
