About the Show

For 20 years Russ Kane was ‘The Flying Eye’ on the most-listened to commercial radio show in the world – ‘The Chris Tarrant Breakfast Show’ on Capital Radio – pretty good going for someone who hated flying, loathed early mornings and only agreed to sign a two-week contract. As a writer, Russ won the Gold Medal in the New York Film & Television Festival and a slew of other awards, including a much-coveted Sony Radio Award for ?Best Use Of Comedy’. Through pure accident the stage beckoned and nine years of panto followed, working alongside some of the legendary names of British entertainment ? yes, including Sooty, Postman Pat & Mr Blobby. In his One Man Show, Russ walks us through his adventures as a writer in New York, including inadvertently owing money to The Mob, his horrendous auditions, his extraordinary conversation with the Heir Apparent, the bewildering array of characters he’s encountered, the knaves & chancers in the music industry and just whose bed was wired for sound! Russ currently broadcasts on BBC Radio London & TalkRadio. One thing for sure – it’s gonna get messy. You like insider goss – then this is the show for you. We take no prisoners!
