Inspired by these moments of spontaneity and creativity, Kneehigh has commissioned 40 new Random Acts of Art to take place in the St Austell Bay area from 30 Mar – 30 May, supported by the Coastal Communities Fund. It might be a story through a letter box. It could be a ghost-ship seen at dusk sailing through a village, with its story sung by a siren. It might be a chorus of wild swimmers wearing extraordinary sculptural swimming hats. Or you might see the Empress of Russia from a bus or train and hear about her connection to Cornwall. The Random Acts will be “moments of wonder-secret, glanced, heard, glimpsed-to arise curiosity and, hopefully, joy.”
Kneehigh invites everyone in the area to keep their eyes peeled over the coming weeks and share their experiences and sightings on social media using the hashtag #RandomActs. Or, if you aren’t local, watch the website and our social media to keep up to date and why not create your own Random Act of Art and share using #RandomActs.
