About the Show
In a powerful blend of theatrical storytelling, animation and live performance drawing, award-winning writer Annie George and visual artist Flore Gardner unwind contrasting stories about women who are silenced. A contemporary tale interwoven with the Greek myth of Philomela – based on Ovid’s Metamorphoses – with dark poetic text, startling imagery, music and sound design, Twa explores duality and how the creative act can become an act of resistance.
