About the Show

Secrets, Storytelling and sibling rivalry! Part confessional monologue, part lecture and part storytelling, ‘there were two brothers’ is a funny, very personal exploration of fraternal relationships. Inspired by brothers, both real and fictional, this new solo show from performer Mark Kydd takes the audience on an unexpected journey through his experiences with his brother and the discovery that they share more than a birthday! It’s a show for anyone who has known the joys, frustrations and complexities of family life. Inspired by an obscure novel, Mark has woven together the autobiographical and fictional, employing an energetic performance style and a creative use of video projections by Jamie Wardrop (Beats, 2011 Edinburgh).
