Alison Balsom and Friends

Soloist, curator and cultural figurehead, trumpeter Alison Balsom is one of today’s highest-profile musicians. For this performance she and her hand-picked ensemble play a selection of baroque concertos and orchestral works including the solemnity of Purcell’s funeral sentences, extracts from Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and the regal pomp of Handel’s famous Fireworks music.
