Images have been released offering a first look at Waitress in the West End.

The musical by Sara Bareilles stars Katharine McPhee as Jenna, Jack McBrayer as Ogie, Marisha Wallace as Becky, Laura Baldwin as Dawn, Peter Hannah as Earl, David Hunter as Dr Pomatter and Shaun Prendergast as Old Joe.

The piece tells of Jenna, a pie waitress in a small town and stuck in a rocky marriage who pours her heart into her baking. A fresh start presents itself with the prospect of a baking contest in a nearby county.

The show is based on the 2007 film by Adrienne Shelly and features songs by Bareilles such as "She Used to be Mine" and "I Didn't Plan It" and a book by Jessie Nelson.

Waitress is also holding Cast Album Karaoke nights in London, where audience members can get up onto the stage to sing songs from the show. The next event is 18 March and singers will be accompanied by the show's musical director Katharine Woolley.

The full company also includes Kelly Agbowu, Piers Bate, Nicole Raquel Dennis, Michael Hamway, Stephen Leask, Chris McGuigan, Olivia Moore, Nathaniel Morrison, Sarah O'Connor, Leanne Pinder, Charlotte Riby, and Mark Willshire. The show is directed by Diane Paulus, with choreography from Lorin Latarro, lighting from Ken Billington and designs from Scott Pask. Waitress opening night is 7 March.
