If it’s good enough for Rachel Zegler…
You might have heard about a little show that is being staged at The London Palladium this summer and how its star – one Rachel Zegler – is offering up her rendition of a certain show tune from the balcony to the masses gathered outside on Argyll Street at every performance (on the off chance you haven’t, you can learn more about it here).
We are, of course, referring to Jamie Lloyd’s much-hyped revival of the Andrew Lloyd Webber-Tim Rice classic, Evita, and the iconic number “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina”. And recently, at the relaunch of the Official London Theatre Ticket Booth in Leicester Square, WhatsOnStage caught up with a plethora of West End performers and posed the question: “Which song would you serenade the crowds with, if you were up on the London Palladium balcony every night?”
Find out what they said in the video below:
Evita is scheduled for an official opening this evening, 1 July, and is set to continue until 6 September, with tickets on sale now.
